IIM Bangalore - Admission 2024, Fees, Courses, Placement, Ranking

CAT result 2023 was released and the scorecard download link is now active on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. Candidates are required to login to view their results. Now that the results have released, the IIM Bangalore cutoff 2024 is expected to be released soon.

NIRF Ranking 2023 has been released for IIM Bangalore.NIRF Ranking is released under different categories such as Overall, Universities, Colleges, Dental, Medical many more.  As per the IIM Bangalore NIRF Ranking 2023, the college is ranked at the 2nd position in the management category. IIM Bangalore has been ranked 52 in the top B-Schools released by Financial Times Business School. 

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, or IIM Bangalore, was established in 1973 by the government of India. IIM Bangalore is located on Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, India. The college is accredited by the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). As per the NIRF Ranking 2022, IIM Bangalore has secured the 2nd position in the management category with a score of 82.62. 

IIM Bangalore course are offered at postgraduate and doctoral levels. The IIM Bangalore course list includes MBA, PGPBA, PGPEM, EPGP, PGPPM, PhD and certificate programmes. For IIM Bangalore admissions to MBA and PGPBA, CAT scores are considered. As per the IIM Bangalore admission process for PGPEM, candidates must have valid scores in CAT/GMAT/GRE/IIMB Test. For IIM Bangalore EPGP admissions, valid scores in GMAT or GRE is mandatory. Candidates who wish to pursue PhD, have to appear GMAT/GRE/CAT 2022/GATE/JRF (NET)/IIMB Test to get admission at IIM Bangalore.

IIM Bangalore placement process starts from the final year of the degree so that the students get familiar with the process by the end of the year. As per IIM Bangalore placement 2022 reports, 513 students out of 524 students got placed with an average salary package of Rs 33.82 LPA. Some of the top recruiters that participate in the IIM Bangalore placement drive every year are Accenture, Flipkart, Microsoft, Infosys, Myntra, Axis Bank, Syntel, Bajaj Auto, etc.

Students in need of financial assistance are given IIM Bangalore scholarships or financial aid. PGP students with a household income of less than Rs 8,00,000 per year are eligible to apply for IIM Bangalore scholarships. Ministry of Education, Government of India has released the NIRF Ranking 2023 on June 6, 2023. The ranking is based on various parameters such as teaching and learning resources, graduation outcome, perception, research and professional practices and outreach & inclusivity. Listed below in the table is the IIM Bangalore NIRF Ranking 2023:

IIMB-SMU MoU

IIMB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in management research and education with Singapore Management University (SMU). The MoU will facilitate joint research and publication by faculty of SMU and IIMB, the organisation of research seminars and workshops, and support for research projects in research centres at both institutions in areas of mutual interest.

• SMU and IIMB also intend to invite doctoral students and junior faculty to participate in Summer Institutes / Winter Institutes to be hosted or co-hosted by the institutions.
• The MOU also provides for the exploration of joint executive education, faculty exchange, and graduate student mobility between the two institutions.

IIMB-University of Exeter MoU

• University of Exeter Business School formalised an MoU with IIM Bangalore and reviewed the progress of ongoing research and education exchange in areas of mutual interest, which include corporate governance and corporate social responsibility (CSR), service management, entrepreneurship and innovation, sustainability, economics, and health care.
• Both will work together in the areas of collaborative research, bilateral faculty and student mobility, mutual exchange of information and experiential learning, participation in publications, seminars, conferences, lectures, and related activities.

Harvard Business Publishing and Richard Ivey School of Business

• IIM Bangalore is the first school in India to enter into an agreement with Harvard Business Publishing for the distribution of teaching cases globally. With this, IIMB joins a select group of B-schools such as Stanford Graduate School of Business, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and the Darden School of Business.
• IIMB has partnered with the Richard Ivey School of Business and the University of Western Ontario to co-brand and distribute IIMB-authored cases on a global basis.

IIMB-IISC MoU

IISC Bangalore and IIM Bangalore have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalise academic exchange and collaboration between the two institutes.

• The MOU focuses on two goals: to have closer academic collaborations between the two institutes and to initiate Technology and Innovation Management activities related to science-based intellectual property generated at IISC Bangalore and co-created between the two institutes.
